What documents will you receive?
Once you complete your purchase, you'll receive your full insurance documentation from your insurer. This typically includes:
A policy certificate (or quotation if purchase was before final confirmation) — showing who is covered, what cover you have taken out, and your coverage limits.
A statement of fact — the copy of the information you provided when you applied, which forms the basis of the policy.
The policy wording — the full contract conditions, which explain what is or isn't covered, what your obligations are, and how claims are handled.
These documents are normally sent to you by email or by post shortly after purchase — in other words, as soon as your policy is issued by the insurer.
The policy certificate (or quotation) is where you’ll find the details relevant to your event — what is covered (e.g. Public Liability, Equipment, Cancellation), the insured sum, and the event date(s).
The policy wording + statement of fact is your formal contract. Depending on the cover you selected, you only need to refer to the relevant sections of the policy wording (Example; if you took out Public Liability only, you would read Section 1 of the policy wording).
