Do you need Public Liability Insurance?
Public liability insurance isn't a legal requirement for every event in the UK. So, you're not automatically breaking the law by holding an event without it.
However, even at well-planned events, accidents can happen: someone could get injured, or property could be damaged. Public liability insurance provides financial cover for potential compensation or legal costs.
If you already have a liability or business insurance policy, check its terms carefully — it may not automatically cover event activities or third-party liabilities at events.
