Will cancellation be covered?
Since Event Insurance is a comparison service, it depends on the details of the policy you buy through us — it's possible, but not automatic.
Event Insurance does offer a 'Cancellation/Abandonment' cover on its one-off event policies. However, we only cover if the cancellation is absolutely necessary and unavoidable, caused by unforeseeable, uncontrollable events (e.g.; a venue becomes unusable, extreme weather, key performer withdrawal).
If you cancel the event voluntarily (e.g.; financial, personal, lack of interest), that would typically be considered within your control, and therefore would not meet the policy's definition of a claimable 'cancellation'.
